The founder
I founded Clear Concepts Tutoring in January 2015 after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During my freshman year of high school, I started helping my peers understand math concepts. That's when I realized that not only did I have a knack for tutoring — I also enjoyed it. Seeing my peers succeed brought me a sense of accomplishment and pride. While at UCSB, I worked as a math and physics tutor in the drop-in room for Campus Learning Assistance Services. After arriving in Los Angeles in 2015, I began privately tutoring students of all levels in math, physics, test prep, and many other subjects. I have over 13 years of tutoring experience.
I earned my degree in English with a minor in physics. My diverse educational background allows me to tutor a range of subjects — from English and writing to math and physics. When my first student got into USC, I realized tutoring was about more than just grades and test scores: it was about improving confidence in learning. I leverage a first-principles approach — breaking down complex systems into their simplest parts — to ensure students don't just memorize formulas, but understand the logic behind them.

Then, we work together with you and your student to help them reach those goals. We believe you are an integral part of your student's learning experience. Philosophy
At Clear Concepts, we focus on helping our students arrive at the answer themselves, not just giving them the answer. We optimize the learning process by helping students think through the problem on their own before we start guiding them toward the answer. This enhances the quality of the tutoring session. We never rush through assignments. Our goal is to ensure our students comprehend the concepts.
