Thirteen years of thank-you notes.

Nicolas Cohn-Lopez has been my son’s Physics tutor for the last year. We have had tutors for English, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Physics over the last three years, but Nicolas has been the best tutor my son has had. He is punctual, polite, caring and patient. My son enjoys working with Nicolas and absorbs all that he has to say. He explains things carefully and thoroughly. My son has maintained a high “A” in Physics during this school year. I highly recommend Nicolas.

Nicolas helped prepare me for my stats class and I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor! Math doesn’t come easy for me, so it was extremely helpful to have him in my corner, helping me every step of the way.

While business calculus seemed to be a daunting subject at first, with the help of Nicolas, I found clarity and interest in the subject (eventually earning an “A” grade in my business calculus course at UC Santa Barbara). Nicolas was great because he emphasized the importance of truly understanding the material (rather than just helping me come up with the solutions). While I have had other tutors at UCSB, none were as helpful as Nicolas. After each session, I felt that I had made major strides toward mastering the required material. I strongly recommend Nicolas as a tutor to any student.

Nicolas was incredibly successful in working with Ben on pre-calculus this year. Ben was struggling with the concepts, the problems, and his overall confidence in his math abilities. Nicolas was patient, persistent, and as committed to Ben’s success as Ben was. Not only does Ben have a firm grasp of the concepts and how to do the problems, his confidence in his math abilities has returned as well. None of that would have been possible without Nicolas’s guidance.

Nicolas is a superb tutor. He has great knowledge to assist with both reading/writing and mathematics for any school age. I must add, he’s very patient and kind, which is an added bonus.

Nico was an excellent tutor and helped me get an A in one of my most challenging subjects in a class that I previously had a C in during my time at Indiana University. He was extremely patient and really made me feel confident. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a really supportive, kind and very knowledgeable tutor.

Nico spent endless sessions helping my little brother DJ get through statistics. He communicated well, gave transparency to progress, and overall helped DJ pass that class with a B. We will be utilizing his services again.
